How do Reactee shirts work?
- You create a shirt by selecting a slogan, keyword and initial response
at the Reactee web site. You then select a color and size for your shirt, enter your cell phone number
so that we can activate it, and your billing and shipping information so that we can print and ship
the shirt. When someone sees your shirt and sends a text message (SMS) with your keyword to the
Reactee short code (41411) they get a text message back that you specified.
What is a short code?
- A short code is just like a phone number, but instead of being 10 digits long,
it is five digits long and it works only for text messages. The short code for Reactee is 41411.
To send a text message to a person, you enter their phone number in the TO field, e.g., 415 555 1212.
To send a text message to Reactee you enter our short code, 41411, in the TO field.
How do I design my shirt?
- You can choose from pre-existing templates or design your shirt from scratch.
To pick from a template first select a topic, then a slogan, a keyword and, optionally, additional text and an image.
To design your shirt from scratch select Your Own under the topics then enter a slogan, a keyword and, optionally,
additional text and an image.
How do I activate my Reactee shirt?
- After you create your shirt click the Activate button. You will have to provide
your cell phone number. We will send you a text message with a password that you must enter on that page
to activate your shirt.
Can I change my password?
- Yes. Simply click on your profile link and enter your new password.
Can I purchase a Reactee shirt if I don't have a cell phone?
- Yes. You can purchase a Reactee shirt from the gallery that someone else has activated.
However, you cannot design or activate your own shirt without a US cell phone.
Do the shirts have electronics or batteries?
- No. The shirts simply let people know what keyword to text and to what number.
When people text your keyword to 41411, the text message goes to the Reactee servers which then send your response.
Do Reactee shirts function outside the US?
- Not yet. Let us know if you are interested in getting one elsewhere...
Which wireless carriers does Reactee work with?
- Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Virgin, Suncom, Cricket, Amp'd, Midwest, Cellular South and nTelos.
What type of shirts do you use?
- We use the highest quality American Apparel shirts made in America.
Do you sell Organic shirts?
- Yes. Our "natural" color shirts are organic.
Do you use environmentally friendly ink on the shirts?
- Yes. We use water-based inks that are digitally printed on the shirts.
Can I put a graphic on my shirt?
- Yes, you can choose a graphic from our image gallery. If you have a specific
graphic you would like to use, click on the "CUSTOM" button in the shirt designer image selection,
and follow the formatting and upload instructions.
How long will it take to get my shirt?
- We try to print and ship shirts within one business day of the
time they were ordered. Dark shirts (Black, Olive, Asphalt) can sometimes take an extra day or two. Light shirts
sometimes ship the same day the are ordered. If you select Priority Mail as the shipping method, you should receive your
shirt two or three days after we ship it. If you select Express delivery, you should receive it the day after we
ship it.
Is each shirt different and unique?
- If you create and activate a shirt, it will indeed be unique and you will set
its unique response. If you select a shirt from the gallery and don't modify it, then the response
to it will be specified by the creator of the shirt.
Can I get many shirts for my organization?
- Yes. Simply create a shirt and put it in the shirt gallery. Then tell members
of your organization to get their shirt from the gallery. Or, you can simply order multiple shirts yourself.

How should I care for my shirts?
- Wash cold, inside out, and dry low.
Should I wash my shirts before wearing them?
- We recommend that you wash your shirts, inside out, before you wear them.
That will remove any extra treatment solutions that might be left over from the printing process.
This is a particularly good idea for dark shirts (Black, Olive, Asphalt) as they need extra treatment
before they are printed. You might notice a darker rectangle around the print area on dark shirts. This
is a result of the process necessary to print dark shirts and should disappear after one or two washes.
How do I update my shirt's response?
- You can update your shirt's response at the reactee.com web site or from your cell phone.
On the Reactee web site, click on the My Shirts tab then click Update Response People Get. To update
from your phone, send a text message to 41411 with UP followed by your keyword followed by your new response.
For example: UP ZEN Seek and you shall find.
How often can I change my shirts' response?
What is the shirt gallery? What does it mean to make my shirt public?
- If you choose to make your shirt public, it will be included in the shirt gallery.
Visitors will be able to view your shirt and use it for inspiration to create their own shirts.
People will also be able to purchase a shirt just like yours. If your shirt gets lots of SMS requests,
it might be featured in our list of popular shirts.
How do I know when someone texts my shirt?
- You will get a text message notification (unless you turn this feature off in
the shirt management page on the Reactee web site).
Can people send me messages through my shirt?
- Yes, provided that you activate this feature on your shirt management page at the Reactee
web site. If people write a message after your keyword, you will get that message on your phone. For example,

Can I create text alerts for my shirts?
- Yes. If you activate the text alert feature on your shirt management page at
the Reactee web site, your shirt responses will include instructions for joining your alert, i.e.,
Reply Y to join this shirt's text alert. Alternatively, people will be able to join your text alert by
sending a text message to 41411 with the word SUB following by your keyword, e.g., SUB IHSJAGUARS.
Can I block someone from contacting me?
- Yes. You can block someone from sending you messages through Reactee or getting
your shirt's response by sending a text message to 41411 with the word BLOCK followed by their 10 digit
cell phone number, e.g., BLOCK 4155551212. To unblock someone send a message to 41411 with the word
UNBLOCK followed by their phone number.
How much do the shirts cost?

Reactee shirts cost between $20 and $27 depending on size and color, plus shipping and handling.
Dark shirts are more expensive, as are XXL size shirts.
Is there a charge for using the shirts?
- Standard text messaging charges apply, depending on your wireless plan,
for sending and receiving text messages to Reactee. Please check the details of your wireless plan.
Sending (or receiving) a text message to Reactee (41411) costs the same as sending (or receiving) a text message
to another person...

Why do you need my cell phone number?
- We need to validate your cell phone number to make sure that you can update your
shirt from your phone, receive contact notifications and use other such features.
Will you share my phone number?
- No. We respect your privacy. We will not send you unsolicited promotional messages
nor share your phone number with third parties. However, if you contact or subscribe to another Reactee
shirt the owner of that shirt will see your phone number.
Will the shirt owner see the phone number of those who text his or her shirt?

Opt-out of the Program
- If you subscribed to a Reactee text alert but no longer wish to to receive messages
from that alert, you can easily unsubscribe. Send an SMS to 41411 with UNSUBSCRIBE followed
by the name of the Reactee alert you no longer wish to receive.
- To fully opt-out and stop receiving all messages from Reactee send an SMS with the word STOP to 41411. Or,
